This book is great!! It is concise and to the point while retaining all the information you could possibly need. This is the only pharmacology book that you will need for medical school. So, do yourself a favor and buy it!
This is a great book that all medical students should read if you're struggling with pharmacology course. I know it's helped me tremendously in putting everything together in a way that's clear, concise and easy to understand.
By far the best pharmacology textbook you find. Dr. Bourassa himself is so passionate on this subject and it shows in the book. This isnt a book that is filled with fluff and unneccessary details..it gets straight to the point! I like the fact that it is well organized, the questions are very well put-together to prepare you the SHELF and Board exams, and it is small and not bulky like a dictionary. I promise you wont be dissappointed. I dare you to find a better textbook
This book is the best. Saved me from my school's crappy pharm curriculum. Has what med students need to know, and no extra junk. Great review quizzes at the end of every few chapters. Get this book, nothing else compares in terms of brevity, accuracy, currency, and therefore usability!
really great book for a 2nd year medical student gearing up to study for board exams. very concise. i would advise 1st years reading this review to purchase this book immediately and use it as a reference along with first aid to go through the classes.

Dr. Bourassa writes just like he's having a conversation with you. He tells you exactly what is important for practice and what gets asked on board exams. He puts everything in a no nonsense format that anyone can understand. This book is actually better than the 2nd edition because the practice test have answers in the back that actually explain why each option is right or wrong.
